The Elkins Police Department has arrested three men for attempting to operate a meth lab.

Elkins Police responded to a complaint of copper pipes that had been stolen from outside of a Davis Avenue apartment on Saturday which led police to an apartment where Jason Hebb of Elkins, Michael Ketterman of Elkins, and Carl Manley of Montrose, were in possession of materials commonly used to make meth, according to a criminal complaint document.

Police obtained a search warrant and found coffee filters, Coleman fuel, lye, salt, lithium batteries, a wrench, and a plastic bottle which appeared to be the "gas generator" of the clandestine drug lab, according to the criminal complaint.

All three men are being held in Tygart Valley Regional Jail.

Hebb and Manley are being held on $50,000 bond and Ketterman is being held on $25,000 bond.

The West Virginia State Police also assisted in this case.
