Frontier Communications Alerts Customers to Phone Scam

Posted: Updated:

Frontier Communications wants to alert the public about scammers calling its customers.

"Over the past two weeks, we have had an unusual number of customers complain about callers using unethical tactics to convince our customers to switch service," Senior Vice President and General Manager Dana Waldo said.

Frontier said the caller claims to work for Frontier or to be calling on Frontier's behalf, and attempts to convince customers to switch services.

The company said customers should not provide any personal information if a call doesn't seem legitimate. Instead, ask for a contact number to verify or call 800-921-8101.
