Buckhannon Police Arrest Walkersville Man in Connection to Wood Street Burglary

The Buckhannon Police Department has arrested a Walkersville man in connection to a burglary that happened at a house in Buckhannon Monday.

Bruce "Bub" Hicks, 44, was arrested by investigator Mark Stewart and was charged with daytime burglary.

Chief Matthew Gregory, of the Buckhannon Police Department, said on Monday between the hours of 12 p.m. and 6 p.m., Hicks burglarized a residence on Wood Street. Multiple items that were taken from the residence at the time of the burglary have been recovered.

Hicks is currently in Tygart Valley Regional Jail with bail set at $85,000.

Investigator Stewart was assisted by Sheriff Adam Gissy and Deputy Chief Randy Hyre of the Lewis County Sheriff's Department.
