Several counties in West Virginia have already started celebrating the state's sesquicentennial. Marion County has a very rich history and now its residents are ready to celebrate how far it has come.
Several counties in West Virginia have already started celebrating the state's sesquicentennial. Marion County has a very rich history and now its residents are ready to celebrate how far it has come.
Students at a local elementary school learned how to stay safe Friday afternoon.
First, second, and third graders at North Elementary School in Highland Park, in Randolph County heard from the Officer Phil program about staying safe, in school and out.
Presenters also encouraged kids to avoid bullying, with the help of some friends, too.
They said the time to start sharing these messages with kids is when they're younger.
Presenter Mike Eakins said he's taken his message to kids in schools across Randolph County.
