    Despite the relatively high amount of natural gas production in West Virginia, less than 3 percent of employees in some of the major occupations that make up the sector's workforce live in the Mountain State.

The Region VI Workforce Investment Board and Region VI Workforce Partner Network, in collaboration with West Virginia Women Work, are sponsoring the 2nd Annual "Experience the Trades" Apprenticeship Expo.

The event is on April 17, 2013 at Mylan Park Expo Center in Morgantown, WV. Vendors will be on site from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. The purpose of the
Expo is to give these Apprenticeship Programs a venue to present to the public information on their training and job opportunities.

WorkForce West Virginia will have information relating to job postings and specific information on how Apprenticeship Programs and WorkForce West Virginia work together to list available trainings openings and job positions.

West Virginia Laborers' Training Trust Fund

Training providers will be available to give information on programs that would give an individual a step in the right direction to entering an Apprenticeship Program. Training Providers include:

Robert C Byrd Institute
