Harrison County -

The Harrison County 911 Center said 5 people were taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon after an accident on Route 18 in Harrison County.

Healthnet was requested but could not respond because of inclement weather.  One person was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital. Three others were taken to the United Hospital Center.

The Lumberport Volunteer Fire Department said a pickup truck and an SUV were involved in the crash.  

No word on the extent of injuries or cause of crash at this time. 

It happened around noon on Sunday. West Virginia State Police are investigating.

Spelter Volunteer Fire Department and Harrison County EMS also responded.
