Test it Tuesdays: Wraptastic

Posted: Updated:

In this week's Test it Tuesday, I hope the Wraptastic can save me from my inability to use plastic wrap.

The product claims to easily dispense and cut plastic wrap, aluminum foil, and wax paper.

I am terrible at tearing plastic wrap from the box and as a result, the ends always crinkle or the whole sheet folds over then I get frustrated and give up.

To use the Wraptastic, you take the entire roll from the box and secure it in the holder using pegs that are meant for the cardboard roll.

I didn't have any trouble installing the wax paper or plastic wrap, but the roll of Reynolds' Wrap foil was much smaller than the other two tubes. It took several minutes and many tries, but it finally fit. After that, popping the holders into the Wraptastic is easy.

Neither the foil nor the wax paper ripped cleanly with the box, but I was able to get a straight edge with the Wraptastic.

When it comes to the plastic wrap test, my test sheet from the box ends up in a crumpled ball, as usual. With the Wraptastic, though, it cuts cleanly and I don't need to crinkle it at all to pick it up.

It's not a big difference when it comes to the aluminum foil or the wax paper, but I could finally use plastic wrap without frustration with the Wraptastic.
