A tractor trailer accident on Interstate 79 southbound near the 131 mile marker in Marion County Thursday morning closed the slow lane for more than 18 hours.
The Marion County Sheriff's Department said at approximately 9:20 a.m., a tractor trailer veered right and went off the road. One person was in the tractor trailer at the time of the accident but wasn't injured.
The cause of the accident is unknown, according to the sheriff's department. The back end of the tractor trailer was still on the side of the road Friday afternoon. There's no word on when it will be removed.
The lane was closed for a significant amount of time while crews worked to clear the scene. The lane reopened around 4:15 a.m. Friday.
