Judicial Vacancy Commission Interviews Candidates to Replace Judge Keadle

The Judicial Vacancy Commission has interviewed seven candidates for Judge Thomas Keadle's seat in the 26th Circuit Court.

Keadle retired at the end of January. Three of the seven candidates are prosecuting attorneys.

The other four are in private practice.

The Judicial Vacancy Commission will submit two to five names from the list to Governor Earl Ray Tomblin who will appoint one to succeed Keadle.

The seven candidates are Kurt W. Hall, assistant prosecuting attorney in Harrison County, Sue Holvey, sole practitioner in Braxton County, Gerald Hough, prosecuting attorney in Gilmer County, Earl W. Maxwell, attorney in Elkins, William J. O'Brien, with Steptoe & Johnson in Bridgeport, Jacob Reger, prosecuting attorney in Upshur County, and Andrea L. Roberts, attorney with Curnutte Law Firm in Elkins.
