Fairmont State's Holly Frampton has been named the WVIAC Player of the Week, while Vanessa Bodily of Alderson-Broaddus and Charleston's Courtney Fain were named the co-WVIAC Pitchers of the Week.
Frampton, a 5'9" senior outfielder from Corning, N.Y., guided the Falcons to a 3-1 week in conference play. She extended her hitting streak to eight with a base knock in all four contests. Frampton batted .538 (seven-of-13) and four of her hits went for extra bases with three doubles and a round-tripper. She had three multi-hit contests and boasted a 1.000 slugging percentage.
Frampton was two-for-four in the opener against UC before registering a hit and scoring a run in the 2-0 victory. Against the Yellow Jackets, she had a two-run homer in the first frame before adding a double later in the contest. In the second game, she was two-for-four with one RBI and a pair of doubles.
Bodily, a 5'9" senior hurler from Ogden, Utah, recorded a shutout victory in her lone performance of the week. Against Charleston, she gave up just two hits in the 6-0 win. Bodily struck out nine while walking just two. She faced six batters over the minimum.
