Struck Sunday Evening with wind gusts to 100 MPH.
The Elkins Fire Department is expanding.
It's building a new 40 by 60 storage building on the corner of River Street and Henry Avenue to store its Hazmat trailer and boat.
Volunteers spent Wednesday tearing down a building that was donated to the fire department several years ago.
Chief Tom Meader said the department also could use the new building as a training location.
Work should be finished by September.
