The closing of a Weston business next month will affect more than just Lewis County.

Employees said iPacesetters notified them last Friday about its plans to close the Weston office.

Company representatives will be on hand throughout the week to assist current employees in finding jobs.

Employees said the closure will affect several neighboring counties as well.

"This is going to affect Upshur, Gilmer, Braxton, parts of Harrison. It's going to hurt a lot of people in a lot of counties and areas around here, because this is a very big job opportunity," said iPacesetters employee Nina Smith.

Smith started at iPacesetters right out of high school and said that's the only job she's had.

She's unsure what she'll do when the center closes at the end of May.

Lewis County Administrator Cindy Whetsell said she is trying to reach the company to see if anything can be done to keep the Weston location open.
