MORGANTOWN -

Young West Virginians have been showing off their business skills in a statewide competition.

The West Virginia Business Plan Competition has been going on since August. It's had more than 140 entries, which is more than ever.

"We narrowed it down from the top ten today, five in each category, ‘Hospitality and Tourism' and ‘Lifestyle and Innovation," said Tara St. Clair, from the Brickstreet Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Event Planner. "From there, they participated in workshops and seminars held at WVU and they had a 20 page business plan due."

Each winner received a $10,000 check to help pay for their business initiative. The winners were Erik Watkins of Dub V Safe Ride and Randi Dove of Randi Dove Farms.
