WVU Library Assists Local Non Profits

Posted: Updated:

The WVU Library has joined a network of libraries called 'Cooperative Collections' to help local nonprofit organizations.

The online system provides grant seekers with information and is based out of the Foundation Center in New York. It allows local nonprofits to come into the downtown library and use the database to apply for certain grants.

"There are so many social service agencies and non profits in our area and they're always seeking funding," said Penny Pugh, of the WVU Library. "This is an information resource center for them and for no charge they can come in and use these resources to help them find grants, identify funders and write proposals that will get them the money they need."

The library is hosting a workshop for non profits to learn about the system on Saturday, April 13th at 9 a.m.
