4 Harrison County Residents Sentenced in Clarksburg District Court

Judge Irene M. Keeley sentenced four Harrison County residents on April 9 in U.S. District Court in Clarksburg, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II.

Tyquay Williams, 20 of Clarksburg, was sentenced to 97 months in prison to be followed by six years of supervised release. According to the news release, Williams pleaded guilty on December 7, 2012, to distribution of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of Monticello Avenue Park Playground.

Dante Dupree, 40 of Bridgeport, was sentenced to 63 months in prison to be followed by six years of supervised release. Dupree pleaded guilty on November 28, 2012, to distribution of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of Glen Elk City Park, according to the news release.

Bradley Hutson, 53 of Clarksburg, was sentenced to 63 months in prison to be followed by six years of supervised release. Officials said Hutson pleaded guilty on November 28, 2012, to distribution of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of Glen Elk City Park. Due to drug usage while on pretrial release, Hutson's sentence was increased.

Rebecca Powell, 50 of West Milford, was sentenced to 33 months in prison to be followed by six years of supervised release. According to the news release, Powell pleaded guilty on December 4, 2012, to distribution of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of Glen Elk City Park.

Williams, Dupree and Hutson were all remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution. Powell is free on bond and will self-report to the designated Federal institution on May 9, 2013, according to the news release.

These four cases were prosecuted by Criminal Chief Shawn A. Morgan and were investigated by the Harrison County Drug Task Force, consisting of officers from the Harrison County Sheriff's Department and the Bridgeport and Clarksburg Police Departments.
