Coalton VFD in Randolph County to Receive $50,000 for New Extrication Equipment

Senators Jay Rockefeller and Joe Manchin have announced more than $900,000 in federal funding.

The money will help three West Virginia fire departments buy safety equipment or update emergency vehicles.

The Coalton Volunteer Fire Department in Randolph County will get $50,000 to buy new extrication equipment.

The fire departments in Scott Depot and Wellsburg also will receive funding.

The money comes from FEMA's Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.
