'Operation Military Kids' Asks Community to Wear Purple

Posted: Updated:

West Virginia University Extension Services' "Operation Military Kids" asked the community to wear purple Monday.

The event is known as "Purple Up!" and is held to support military families.

Wearing purple is meant to bring awareness to the more than 8,000 military families in our state.

"Operation Military Kids" connects military children with local resources to enhance their well-being and give them a sense of community.
