Parents say man kidnapped, raped their teenage daughter

"You know who I am. You know me. You know me."

This is what one father wishes he could tell Bradley Price, the man he claims kidnapped and raped his 13-year-old daughter.

Price, 34, of Elkview, turned himself into Charleston Police on Wednesday afternoon. He was charged with kidnapping and two counts of first-degree sexual assault.

That's why her parents said they can breathe a little easier now.

"She's doing alright," her mother said. "She's going to therapy now, which is helping her and us as a family."

The criminal complaint states Price worked at a pizza restaurant and was making deliveries on April 10, the day he stopped the girl near a bus stop on the West Side near Central Street and Russell Street. Her mother told 13NEWS she thought her daughter was visiting a friend or cousin in the same area, which is why a police report was not filed until Thursday morning.

That's when Price reportedly threatened the girl and told her to get inside his car. After a night of driving around on his shift--even stopping at his home in Elkview to give his children medication --police said Price brought her to the Knights Inn hotel in Kanawha City.

That's where her parents said Price raped their daughter.

"I don't understand why this man did what he did," her mother said. "What was going through this man's head to even mess with a child?"

They said the girl managed to call for help at the front desk after Price fell asleep. Her father said he rushed to the hotel and was shocked when he recognized the man with his daughter.

"He knew who I was because he called my name when I got there," he said.

The father claims he worked with Price fifteen years ago but hasn't spoken with him since.

"Even if he was to say sorry, it wouldn't count," her mother said. "Because if it wasn't my daughter, it would be somebody else's daughter."

Her father said he doubts Price knew the teenager.

Price is being held at South Central Regional Jail without bail.
