The Davis & Elkins College Department of Fine and Performing Arts presents the French comedy "Boeing" for two weekends in the Boiler House Theatre. Shows are scheduled for 8 p.m. April 18-20 and 25-27.

The production is the West Virginia premier of the 2008 Tony Award winner of Best Revival of a Play. Guest director Greg Mach, associate professor of theatre arts at West Virginia Wesleyan College, is back at the Elkins theater for a show he describes as "sexy, very funny, and definitely over the top."

The 1960's French farce adapted for the English-speaking stage features self-styled Parisian lothario Bernard, who has Italian, German and American fiancees, each a beautiful airline hostess and each unaware of the other two. He keeps "one up, one down and one pending" until unexpected schedule changes bring all three to Paris and Bernard's apartment at the same time.

Mach says he's very pleased with the cast members who have "done a great job learning accents,
creating ‘shtick' and making these characters people we would love to spend an evening with."

Written by Marc Camoletti, the script was adapted by Beverley Cross and Francis Evans. It is being
produced by Special Arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

Tickets are general admission, $7; seniors and students (younger than 18), $5; D&E students, faculty and staff, free.

For reservations, call the Fine and Performing Arts office at 304-637-1212.
