Struck Sunday Evening with wind gusts to 100 MPH.
Middle school students from several counties around the area got to learn about math and science on Saturday.
The Association for Women in Science held a program called, "Expanding Your Horizons in Science and Mathematics."
The program is aimed at middle school aged girls. The girls got the chance to learn more about science, technology, and engineering using hands on activities.
"We actually learned a lot of stuff. I know I learned a lot from genetic traits bingo, learning how many traits you can pick up from your parents," said Haleigh Cook, of Taylor County Middle School.
"I learned a lot of the behind the scenes of a web site. We went in and made our own web page and we even got a flash drive to take home with our own web page," said Courtney Gray.
