MORGANTOWN -

The 11th annual "Taste of Italy" fundraiser was held Sunday in Morgantown.

The event is hosted by the Audia Caring Heritage Association and raises money for local charities.

Food and desserts were served, and items were up for auction.

All of the money raised this year will go towards the Source Lunch Bag Program which provides weekend meals for underprivileged children at Skyview Elementary School.

"They take it home, and then when they're finished eating the items, they bring the lunch box back, they get cleaned out, and then filled again," said John Angotti, one of the organizers.

Amy Oliverio helped to organize the event, and explained why this charity is so important.

"We're feeding children in our own neighborhoods. It's supporting people that we go to church with that we go to work with. These children need more help than anybody," said Oliverio.

The event has raised more than $300,000 for various charities in the past 10 years.
