A school bus was involved in a collision around 7 a.m. Wednesday in Harrison County.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department said a Harrison County school bus was leaving Kincheloe Road from picking up a student when a 1999 Dodge Neon came around a curve and hit the bus.

There were 12 students on the bus but no one was injured. The bus was headed to the West Milford/South Harrison area of the county, according to Chief Deputy Steve Johnson.

The driver of the Neon, Stephen Cain, 20, sustained minor injuries and was cited for failure to maintain control of the vehicle, according to Chief Deputy Johnson. Cain went to a hospital by a private vehicle.

Parents of five students came to pick them up, while another bus was sent for the remaining seven students.

The bus sustained minor damage.
