State police in Elkins arrested a Randolph County man after they said he violated an agreement of terms made after a prior arrest.

In 2010, police charged Shawn Shields, 22, of Valley Head, with distribution of obscene material to a minor after they said he sent sexually explicit materials to a 15-year-old-girl.

Those materials included pictures of Shields and more than a dozen letters requesting that the girl perform sexual acts on him.

Shields was ordered not to have unsupervised contact with minors.

Since then, police said he violated his agreement by being in contact with two other minors, ages 15 and 16.

Shields is in Tygart Valley Regional Jail with bail set at $140,000.
