Fairmont State Adjusting to Changes Heading into Spring Football Game

FAIRMONT -

Fairmont State welcomed a new head coach in Jason Woodman, along with an entirely new coaching staff.

Coach Woodman said the roster is a bit thin heading into the Spring, but he also said that players have been stepping up.

Junior running back Daniel Monroe will be relied upon to carry much of the load this season. The fact of the matter is that there will be plenty of new faces in Fairmont.

It's a team with something to prove after going 4-6 overall last year. Woodman admitted it's been tough, but he believes he's got some great players on his team.

"It's going fairly well. I think we got off to a slow start. Anytime you're bringing in a whole new scheme, then it's going to start slow. I think defensively, we're picking it up very well. The offense is getting there. It's just a matter of time before we can get in and really install everything that we want to. We're kind of taking it slow and one step at a time," Falcons Head Coach Jason Woodman said.
