Elkins High School's Kelsi Trippett will continue to wear the black and orange next year at Wesleyan.

She signed her Letter of Intent on Thursday afternoon to golf for the Bobcats.

Trippett is the first girl from Elkins High to receive a golf scholarship. She played on the Elkins Boy's Golf team and helped lead them to the state tournament for the first time since 1994.

Trippett passed up softball scholarships in order to golf, saying she believes her future is on the greens, adding that Wesleyan is the perfect fit as well.

"I have a lot of friends there. I like the campus a lot, and I like the place in general, I'm over there a lot. I like the coaches and players, I have a few friends on the team," Trippett said.
