Cheat Lake -

Nico's Spalon in Cheat Lake is known by many to give great hair cuts on a daily basis.

On Saturday, the salon did it for a cheaper price as part of its annual 'Cuts for a Cause' fundraising event.

Each hair cut was 20 dollars and benefits West Virginia University Children's Hospital.

Nico's Spalon employees painted pictures with children from the hospital and displayed the artwork on the walls during the event.

"We went to the Children's Hospital and painted with them so these are all painting that the kids did themselves," said Nick Romanoli, the owner of Nico's Spalon. "They're on sale or for donation if you want to make a donation. We have so many sponsors that came and helped us from all over Morgantown so we're so excited that everyone has been so helpful for us."

The Boston Beanery and Morgantown Florist sponsored the event.

Nico's Spalon raised five thousand dollars.
