Salem International University's Scott Schlapinski and Chance Sharp were named to the 2013 All-ICAA (Independent Collegiate Athletic Association) Baseball Team. The conference announced its selections on Thursday evening.
Scott Schlapinski (Sophomore, St. Petersburg, FL) finished the 2013 season with a .411 batting average, good enough to be ranked 31st overall in NCAA Division II as of 4/28/2013. Statistical rankings. In the Atlantic Region of Division II, Schlapinski also came in 13th in batting average and 30th in slugging percentage.
Freshman hurler Chance Sharp (Yuma, AZ) was also selected to the All-ICAA squad. Sharp finished the season with a record of 5-9 and an ERA of 5.86. He finished fourth in all of NCAA DII baseball in Games Started with 14.
