Law Enforcement Holds Mock DUI Crash at Doddridge County High

Posted: Updated:

Saturday night is prom night for Doddridge County High School and law enforcement and emergency rescue teams want students to be ready for any tough decisions they may have to make.

They teamed up Friday on a mock DUI crash to give students a look at the real life consequences of drinking and driving.

"We wanted a worse case scenario to show them that death is real. It can happen to anyone, any age, any time," said Sheriff Mike Headley.

"It was pretty realistic, especially for me because my brother is a senior and going to prom and it was eye opening. I've always been concerned about something happening to him," said Cali Muhly-Alexander, freshman.

The Doddridge County Sheriff's Department, the state police, the Ambulance Authority, and the West Union Fire Department teamed up on the program with Nicholson Auto and Towing.
