1 Dead in Randolph County Accident

The Randolph County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal vehicle accident that happened Tuesday night.

Sheriff Mark Brady said the accident happened around 10 p.m.

Brent Lewellen, 18, of Dry Fork was driving a 2001 Dodge truck traveling from Harman toward Dry Fork on Route 32 drove off the right hand side of the road, struck an embankment and a tree, before flipping over on its top, Brady said.

Lewellen died at the scene. Speed and weather may have been a factor in the accident, said Sheriff Brady.

The Harman Volunteer Fire Department, and Randolph County EMS also responded.
