West Virginia Wesleyan senior Kaitlyn Carey was voted as a first team All-Atlantic Region selection by the region's coaches on Saturday.
Carey held a .297 batting average, while hitting 13 doubles and six home runs on the season. The Orlando, Fla. native finished third in the WVIAC in the RBI category with 44. Carey went 14-12 with one save as a pitcher for the Bobcats. She also finished with 118 strikeouts and seven shutouts in 171.2 innings pitched.
Carey was the only WVIAC player voted to either the first or second team. She adds the NFCA recognition after being selected second team All-WVIAC and Capital One Academic All-District earlier in the week.
