WVU is hosting a three-day High Speed Computing Summer Institute.

The event revolves around NanoSAFE, a research grant given to the state by the National Science Foundation focusing on Bio-Nano Technology.

The workshop is for faculty and students across the state to learn about high performance computing and solving large scientific problems.

"High performance computing is basically when you utilize computers that are connected together so that you have a higher computing power to solve complex problems. They'll be learning how to access the computing cluster that we have," said Aniketa Shinde, of WVU NanoSAFE.

The event included lectures, tours of the facility, and hands on activities.
