Struck Sunday Evening with wind gusts to 100 MPH.
The annual West Virginia Strawberry Festival held its opening ceremonies Wednesday in Buckhannon.
The festival has always been known as a family tradition. Festival officials said this year's event won't disappoint.
Activities will include a children's day Thursday, a fireman's parade Friday, and the grand feature parade on Saturday.
Festival queen Hannah McComas said she's excited to see what it's all about.
"I've never seen a festival like this in the rest of the state, so it's interesting to be a part of such a big festival in such a small community that holds such a big festival," McComas said.
The festival crowns its queen and king Wednesday in the Wesley Chapel at West Virginia Wesleyan.
The festival runs through Sunday.
