CHARLESTON, WV -

Officials with the West Virginia Development Office have hired Chris Garner as the new coordinator for the Neighborhood Investment Program.

Garner has worked in the financial services industry for 16 years. A native of Logan County, he completed a degree in business administration at West Virginia State University. He was a cum laude graduate.

NIP encourages charitable giving to local nonprofit organizations by awarding designated 501(c)3 organizations with tax credit vouchers. Businesses and individual taxpayers that contribute to eligible nonprofits can earn credits to reduce certain West Virginia taxes.
