The Harrison County Sheriff's Department is investigating an armed robbery on Thursday night.

Harrison County 911 said it happened just after 9 p.m. at the High Life Lounge in Quiet Dell.

Sheriff's deputies said the man walked into the establishment, brandished a weapon, and presented a note that demanded money to an employee. They said he did get away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Surveillance video shows the man leaving in a silver four-door sedan at a high rate of speed. Witnesses told deputies there may have been another person driving that getaway car.

Deputies said it's too early to tell if the robbery is related to a similar incident in Star City earlier this week, but they are looking into the possibility.

Deputies said they're looking for a white male in his 30s with light brown short hair, a thin build, and standing approximately 6-feet 1-inch tall. He was wearing wire glasses, a ball cap with letters on it (not a sports team), a brown Carhartt jacket, and jeans or khaki work pants.

If you have any information, please call the sheriff's department at 304.623.6655.
