The United Hospital Center in Bridgeport held its third "Walk for the Cause" Friday afternoon.

The hospital raised money for the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life with a block party and raffles.

It also hosted a butterfly release ceremony.

The hospital said cancer affects everyone in some shape or form.

"There isn't very many people that can't name a family member, a friend, someone you go to church with, someone your in a club with that hasn't had cancer. So cancer affects all of us," said Linda Carte, of UHC.

United Hospital Center hosted a Zumbathon Friday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
