ELKINS -

Families were invited to bring their kids to ride bikes through downtown Elkins on Saturday.

Elkins On Trac hosted its second annual Mountains Beckon Bicycle and Street Fair.

Kids rode their bikes down Davis Avenue, then joined the fun later at a street fair with games and bicycle safety education.

Organizers said the focus of the event was bring people into downtown Elkins.

"To bring people downtown to see what we have to offer, our shops, restaurants, attractions so it's a win-win for everybody," said Mike Ellis of Elkins On Trac.

Organizers said this event was in the planning stages for approximately three months and were pleased with the turnout.
