FAIRMONT -

"Whispers in the Wind" is a production written by students at Fairmont State University.

On Monday, it was performed as a monologue piece by members of the Town and Gown Theatre Company.

It was performed in the Prickett's Fort cemetery. The actors portrayed people who are buried in the cemetery.

"It's really these people telling their own story, and telling their story in a way that's relatively dramatic, but still contains some facts, so that we will remember the people who are here, the people who are really responsible for settling this area," said Francene Kirk, the director of the production.

Larry Spisak portrayed Colonel Zackquill Morgan, and said it's interesting to perform where he is actually buried.

"To people who are receptive to history, and love history, and love to study history and see where we came from, it's meaningful to walk on the grounds that they did. You can almost look and see the sights that they saw," said Spisak.

Some other people portrayed included Jacob and Isaiah Prickett, and John Champe.
