South Ridge Community Church has been having two services every Sunday at the Marion County Senior Center for the past eight years.

After six years of planning and saving money, the church finally has a home to call its own.

Staff said it desperately needed to expand because it was running out of room.

The new facility offers a sanctuary that seats more than 400 people, Sunday school classrooms, a nursery and more.

"It's a huge relief to finally reach our goal, our objective. To provide a place here in this community where we can do an even better job at reaching out to our community," said Pastor Seth Broadhurst.

South Ridge Community Church will hold an open house this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
