Vice President of Marketing,
Clear Mountain Bank
Bruceton Mills, 36

Clint McCabe was born and raised in West Virginia. His mother was a school teacher and his father was a coal miner in Blacksville in western Monongalia County.

McCabe said he always knew his career would be in marketing and advertising. After finishing up his studies in Blacksville, he went to West Virginia University, where he majored in advertising.

After graduating he worked various jobs out-of-state in advertising and with the local newspaper. When he started looking for a job to bring him back to West Virginia, he spotted an opportunity at Clear Mountain Bank. He has worked as the vice president of marketing at Clear Mountain Bank for about eight years.

"I love working for a local community bank," McCabe said. "I like serving the community, and every day we are making a difference."

Clear Mountain Bank has been in business for more than 100 years. It is the result of the combination of the Bruceton Bank, chartered in 1903, and the Terra Alta Bank, chartered in 1891. The bank has since focused on "friendly and professional hometown service."

McCabe said some of the biggest challenges in his business are the rapid changes in technology that can occur in the banking industry.

"They're moving more toward online banking, mobile banking and things of that nature," he said.

McCabe's challenge in marketing the local bank is maintaining that sense of community and locality even if customers aren't necessarily coming by.

McCabe said everyone at the bank is very involved with the community to improve the quality of life in the community.

"We're very involved with the community," McCabe said, adding that the bank has made significant contributions to the community.

Outside of work, McCabe said he has a two-year-old named Daphne who keeps him "very busy."

McCabe has been married to his wife, Melissa, for eight years.
