A chase sent a motorcycle driver and a Nutter Fort Police officer to the hospital Thursday night.

The Nutter Fort Police Department said the motorcycle driver didn't stop when the police tried to pull him over for speeding and reckless driving around 11:45 p.m. On Route 20 in Clarksburg.

He finally crashed into a guardrail before running off on foot.  Patrolman Brett Levine was injured while trying to capture the driver.  Patrolman Levine went to United Hospital Center with minor injuries.  The motorcycle driver went to Ruby Memorial Hospital with back injuries.

Police said charges are pending.

Bridgeport Police Department, Clarksburg Police Department, Clarksburg Fire Department, and Harrison County EMS all responded.
