Some new and expecting moms were celebrating a different kind of baby shower on Friday.

UniCare Health Plan of West Virginia sponsored a "Healthy Mom, Healthy Baby Shower" in Bridgeport.

The event offered information and resources to new moms.

Different organizations from around the community were on hand to share their knowledge.

Organizers said they want moms to know where to go for whatever help they may need.

"And so we just really want to educate moms and show them that there is resources out there that they can refer to for that information," said Billie Moore, of UniCare.

The moms who came out to the event also won door prizes with supplies to help both mom and baby.
