BARBOUR COUNTY -

The Barbour County 911 Center reported two separate motorcycle accidents that sent patients to Ruby Memorial Hospital by HealthNet on Saturday.

The first accident happened just after 1:30 p.m. on Stringtown Road off of Route 92 in Belington. 

Barbour County Sheriff John Hawkins said it happened when Steven Tacy, who was driving a pickup truck, pulled out in front of a motorcycle.

A woman who was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital.  She is from Marion County and it is unclear if she faces life-threatening injuries, officials said. 

The male motorcycle driver, of Monongalia County, was taken by ambulance to Davis Memorial Hospital.

A failure to yield charge is pending. 

The Barbour County Sheriff's Department  was also called to the scene of a motorcycle and vehicle crash just after 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.

The crash happened at the intersection of Route 38 and Tacy Road in Moatsville.

Sheriff Hawkins said Veronica Everson, of Ohio, was driving a car and pulled out in front of Steven Poling, of Moatsville.

Poling was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.  

No other injuries were reported.

It is unclear if charges will be filed.
