Posted: Updated:

If you ever wanted to race your dirt bike or 4-wheeler against top professionals then this may be the weekend to do it.

The Mountain State Hare Scramble Series will stop in Barbour County on Sunday at the King Knob Off-Road Park, off of Stewart's Run Road and Route 57.

Promoter Richie Nolan said the six mile track runs through the woods and includes hill climbs and a creek crossing.

Nolan said any rider can register to race as long as he/she wears a helmet and eye protection.

"Basically you just show up pay your money at the gate come down here see the girls in the registration trailer here and they'll get you signed up and get you a class that's appropriate for your riding style and your skill level and the size back you're on and just go out and ride," Nolan said.

The cost is $20 per rider and 10 for spectators.

The Mt. State Hare Scramble Series holds races all over the tri-state area.
