CLARKSBURG -

The West Virginia Watercolor Society hosted a kick off ceremony for an art exhibit on Sunday.

Paintings are on display at the Gaston Caperton Center in Clarksburg, all painted by members of the society.

Eleven of those paintings on exhibit will be in a live auction on August 3rd for the Clarksburg League for Service fundraiser.

"In addition to having our show here, you'll see the stickers on some of these paintings, we're participating with the Clarksburg League for Service for a charity auction in August. This year the watercolor society is providing the artwork for that," said Jeannine Romano, vice-president of the West Virginia Watercolor Society.

The exhibit is available to view until July 1st; the hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Fridays.
