FAIRMONT -

Camp Muffly is a 4-H camp in Monongalia County.

Recently the camp finished building a brand new dining hall, which started construction in 2000.

In addition to funding from the Monongalia County Commission, one person donated $52,000.

Ruth Hedley Potter attended Camp Muffly many years ago; she came back to the camp on Sunday to see what her donation was used for.

"We see people that want to come back, they come back to the things that they value the most. When you see somebody who is in their 80's come back and value it this much, that would travel and make the monetary donation, it's easy to make the monetary donation for a family that can afford it, but she wanted to see the camp," said Ed Hawkins, with Camp Muffly.

Old campers were invited to see the new dining hall.

Potter cut the ribbon in front of a conference room named in honor of her and her late husband.
