2 Vehicle Accident Slows Traffic on Route 250 in Marion County

West Virginia State Police responded to a two vehicle accident on Route 250 in Farmington on the Husky Highway around 12:36 p.m. Tuesday.

State Police said a Ford Escape traveling north on Route 250 in Farmington traveled left of center. An oncoming dump truck driver tried to avoid the Escape but was unable and hit the SUV head on. The Escape hit the front right wheel of the truck and continued down the side before the Escape ended up in the ditch on its side.

The driver of the Escape was identified as Roberta Hoy, 57, of Mannington. She was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown with non-life threatening injuries.

The truck driver was identified as Woodrow Sigley, 37, of Reedsville. He didn't sustain any injuries, according to state police.

Route 250 was closed for about an hour and a half while crews cleared the roadway.
