Shepherd University has some long-term enrollment goals it plans to reach. And new Director of Admissions Matthew Huber is the man leading the charge.

Huber began his duties June 6, and he's responsible for assisting in the development of admissions, marketing and communication strategies. Huber, who is a member of the enrollment management senior leadership team, reports to the vice president for enrollment management.

As director of admissions, Huber will develop a comprehensive student recruitment plan for the university.

"Matt brings to Shepherd extensive experience in analyzing historical enrollment data to determine trends and outreach," said Kimberly Scranage, vice president for enrollment management. "His expertise in developing and managing student recruitment communications and his hands-on experience with all aspects of the admissions process will make him a valued member of the enrollment management team."

Before joining the staff at Shepherd, Huber was associate director of freshman admissions at Upper Iowa University in Fayette. He has also served as assistant director of admissions at Doane College in Crete, Neb.

Huber is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, earning a master's degree in educational administration with an emphasis on higher education administration. He received a bachelor of music education degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
