Bridgeport Police Investigating Use of Counterfeit Money at Meadowbrook Mall

A Harrison County man was arrested on forgery and counterfeiting charges Tuesday night.

Steven Borum, 22, was taken to the North Central Regional Jail Tuesday night. Bridgeport police said Borum was arrested in connection to the counterfeit bills used at Meadowbrook Mall.

Police said more arrests are forthcoming.

The Bridgeport Police Department is investigating Tuesday after it said a group of people used counterfeit bills at the Meadowbrook Mall.

Officer Matt Wilfong said the individuals used $50 bills to make purchases in several stores.

Wilfong said one person has been arrested, but police are looking for others.
