BRIDGEPORT -

The Benedum Airport Authority met on Wednesday and discussed a change in the flight schedule.

Two flights will now be nonstop to Dulles International Airport, just outside of Washington D.C.

Airport director Rick Rock said other nonstop flights at the airport do very well, so he hopes these will bring business.

"Historically, our 2:44 p.m. flight has been our busiest flight, and it's a non-stop flight so we think that with it being a 10:30 a.m. non-stop it should have the same kind of success. We're very excited. I don't think it will have any affect on anybody else's market, so I think it's a win-win for everyone," said Rock.

Rock said the airport's new restaurant, Roberto's, should open by July 1.
