West Virginia State Police have arrested and charged a Webster County man with attempted murder June 15.
State Police said Kyle Ray Bess, 27, beat up his girlfriend, and caused lacerations from a knife around her legs, arms and head.
The injuries to the woman were non-life threatening. The woman was taken to the hospital, and has since been treated and released, according to State Police.
Bess was arraigned before a Webster County Magistrate Judge.
He is currently in the Central Regional Jail with bail set at $500,000.
